Research Building
Oxford Brookes University

This £5 million scheme for Oxford Brookes University was completed in mid-2005 and provides facilities for the Humanities, Social Sciences and a School of the Built Environment.

The three storey 2,500 square metre Buckley Building has a gently curved roof and an external steel framework. The internal environment of the building has been carefully designed to prevent the degradation of stored archive materials, and this includes lighting and temperature control as well as UV-resistant glass in exterior windows. There are full facilities for the disabled throughout the building.
