A toilet with disabled facilities and a kitchenette have been installed in St Michael's Church, Great Oakley. The church has also been redecorated internally.

Outside, an environmentally-friendly and cost-effective trench arch sewage treatment system has been installed in the churchyard. The total cost for all the works was about £30,000.
