LSC Appoints GSS to College Frameworks

GSS Architecture has received national recognition from the Government's Learning and Skills Council.

Following an open competition, the LSC, which provides funding for colleges of further education and sixth forms, has appointed GSS to their consultancy framework agreements covering the Midlands and the North of England. This effectively means that GSS is one of only eight architectural practices in each region that will be able to undertake work for colleges on projects valued at more than £5 million. There are 384 colleges of further education in the areas concerned.

GSS partner John Davis said, "This is a tremendous result for GSS. It was a very tough competition, and we managed to see off the challenge from a number of internationally-renowned practices. The LSC was obviously impressed with all the work that we’ve done for universities and colleges across the country, including Durham, Reading, Oxford Brookes, Cranfield and the University of Northampton and Moulton College among many others. Our founder, John Alfred Gotch, would have been extremely proud of us."
