GSS Appoints Two New Associates as Richard Says Farewell
After almost 30 years with GSS Architecture, architect and Associate Richard Nelson has retired. Partner John Davis said, "We owe a tremendous debt to Richard, who joined us as a project architect in 1977 before becoming an Associate in 1988. Richard was our senior architect at our Northampton office and worked on numerous projects at Oxford Brookes, Moulton College, Northampton General Hospital, and elswhere. He takes with him our sincere best wishes for a very enjoyable and well-deserved retirement."
At the same time, two new Associates have been appointed. Jonathan Hunter is a Senior Architectural Technologist and team leader, and CAD manager for the practice. He joined GSS in 2002 and has worked on a wide variety of projects, primarily in the education and healthcare sectors. Senior Quantity Surveyor Philip Morgan recently joined GSS from leading international consultants E C Harris, where he was an Associate. At E C Harris Phil worked as a senior cost consultant on an extensive range of construction projects, including commercial and high quality residential developments. "Jon and Phil both have tremendous qualities and experience, and we are delighted to welcome them to our senior management team," said John Davis.
