New Office Development Starts to Take Shape
Construction is well under way on Phase One of a new office development, King's Court, on Kettering Venture Park in Northamptonshire. The site, which is adjacent to the RCI building and just off Junction 9 of the A14, is being developed by Oakham Developments.
GSS architect and associate partner Martin Cowling explained, "The first phase will incorporate six high class office units ranging in size from 2,024 sq. ft. to 5,264 sq. ft. Each unit will be air-conditioned and will be finished to a very high standard. All offices will have their own allocated car parking. This area has become very popular with commercial developers, and benefits from its excellent transport links. Construction of the first phase is scheduled to be completed by November this year."
All units will be available for sale or to let. The joint agents are Barnes Noble Edwards (tel. 01536 517777) and Underwoods (tel. 01604 404060), while the main contractor is Parkway Construction of Milton Keynes.
GSS has previously designed two other commercial buildings at Kettering Venture Park, one taking less than nine months from the initial brief to the completed project. Martin Cowling has been responsible for the design of a further two buildings on the same business park when he was at his previous practice.
